I have always found this site helpfull and once again I would request some advice. I am shortly moving home, and have a new tank there.I have a few Oscars a couple of Uaru a Acara and one Pleco. I know cycling the tank is v.important but what worries me is the introduction proces of the fish. They have been living happy enough together and I am worried they may fight in their ne tank and plus the new addition is still quite small and took alot of effort to keep him safe. Can anyone suggest the best cause of action to take when introducing the fish. |

is the new tank set up + cycled?if not this is the 1st thing to do, you could speed things up by using the "old" water from the tank ya fish are in now + use the filter ya using now, just leave it till the last moment to move it from old to new tank, transport it in a bucket of tank water!set up the new tank as close to the old tank ie rocks wood etc when ya all set up with fish in tank just keep an eye on ya params + maybe do a few small water changes to keep on top of nitrates + nitrites etc hope all goes well for ya |

Yeah with Telboy here, keep as much of the old water as you can. I've set up every tank I've ever had that way without any problems. |

There are starter kit to use for new tanks (including important bacteria starter, plus some enzyme) available on the market today. |
