Is it possible to sort out adverts on Aquarist Classifieds into location i.e. Lincs, Yorks etc so we can group together things that are close?
just a thought
Cheers

The adverts are stored in databases with a specific structure. I cannot unfortunately find a way to do this - but I will keep thinking about it.

Why not just ask the advertisers to start their advert with their location?? |

only thing i can think of which could do it successfully is for members and sellers to type their postcode into their initial details, and then sort the adds by postcode |

You cant sort by postcodes unless you buy the post code product from Royal Mail. Post codes on there own dont mean anything.
I.e. Whats closest to you M34 L11 ....
Maybe you could provide a pull down list when a member subscribes indicating there town / or county or area.
i.e
Manchester
Leeds
London
etc
or
North West
North Each
South East
or
Cheshire
Lancashire
etc
Or just use the site as is - you can already search for an area ... just type in Manchester for example - as long as its in the advert then it comes up. |

or instead why not just add a new drop down menu when selling so where youhave to put what your selling , ie marine fish , aquariums , why not have a location bar and peeps can choose location |
