youre off ya trolley mate! whats the size of this?when can we go for a swim? |

thing with tropical ponds unless they are see through at the side it defeats the point of fish keeping to me as you only see them from above so surely you better just getting a nice 8 foot or 10 foot tank? or something like a really deep 6x3x3 or 6x4x4 ? Or is that just too expensive for the actual tank?
no offence but this is just like keeping fish in a giant bucket, although i would like to see the pictures |

|
WELL IF U TRY AND BUY A BIG TANK IT WILL COST U SHED LOADS OF MONEY,AND THE FISH COULD GET EASILY SPOOKED AND SWIM THROUGH THE END PANEL OF THE GLASS,WELL IF ITS LIKE KEEPING FISH IN A GAINT BUCKET U CAN SAY THE SAME ABOUT KOI KEEPERS.WHEN U R KEEPING 2 FT FISH IT DOESNT MATTER IF U SEE EM FROM THE TOP OR SIDES,ITS NOT FOR GUPPIES. |

|
so you have kids it would be fascinating for them to watch the fish from the side rather than standing on top i just think if you doing an indoor tropical pond why rule out viewing fish from the side whether they guppies or 2 foot fish but its your project i just think its relaxing to actually sit down and watch fish rather than stand over them. good luck |

BUT I HAVE ALSO GOT 3 5FT TANKS THAT THEY HAVE THE PLEASURE OF VIEWING FISH IN.AND SOME OF MY FISH GET TO 30 INCHES AND IM LOOKING TO KEEP EM NOT OF LOAD EM TO OVERCROWDED ZOOS WITH UNWANTED RED TAILS. |

|
that makes sense i guess you got your fair share of viewing tanks if thats the case!
So how much water you reckon it holds then? |

do you find you need to supplement the original Juwel filters with externals? although your Juwel tanks do seem lightly stocked |
13-07-2007 20:45 by tank busters
|
ive got externals on there for better filtration and for stocking purposes |
