13:39 by tracyanne
thanks for all ya feedback . its an adventure has im looking for big fish now lol . and by the way wayne why do u have to make a slide remark at any ones expense its getting silly now if u have something to say then say it. as we do change our tanks . as it gets boring having the same thing . its nice to have a change wouldnt u agree
18-07-2007
22:42 by WAYNE
yeah but put yourself in the fishes place being moved from tank to tank , no jelously at all i have something even better , , be nice if you keep it a bit longer than the marines though
19-07-2007
14:49 by Cichlid Fury
it is nice to have a stable set up rather than change your mind all the time shifting fish about like its a game of musical chairs. wouldnt mind a tropical pond one day what about the moisture content of the air do you need a special du-humidifier?
19-07-2007
15:32 by tank busters
no i just leave window slightly open and the air exchanges ok like that,i dont change fish like musical chairs its just i now have opertunity to keep the fish i want at there adult size instead of,off loading on zoos.i had marines for a year then decided to go back to trops, but i have another 3 tanks so no need to move em about.
19-07-2007
15:33 by tank busters
if u had a really large pond then i would worry about a du-humidifire
19-07-2007
18:52 by WAYNE
so you can keep an adult peruno in a 6x4 pond ?? do you know how big they get , bet you want an arapiama now with that huge expanse of water you have , and why do you take every thing so seruious nothing wrong with a bit of banter with a few serious question thrown is
19-07-2007
19:42 by Cichlid Fury
apparently Perruno are very rare and its more likely a

Anyway with a 30 inch fish you probably wouldnt keep it in a tank or pond thats only just over double its length just like you wouldnt keep a 12" Oscar in a 30" tank or a 20" Arrowana in a 48" tank.

As good as it sounds calling it a pond, it isn't really. 6x4x2 may be larger than the average tank, but it has to be said it's not big enough for large fish.
I'm not having a go, it's just true in my opinion.
19-07-2007
20:03 by tank busters
at the end of the dAY the fish as suffecient room to move and turn with no problems,so i suppose it doesnt matter how bigger pond i have everyone else nos better.
19-07-2007
20:05 by tank busters
look at a it as u want but at the end of the day i rescued the fish from a 4x2x2 but that isnt good enough at least it as more room than before and is not cramped up.

the old red face!

08:24 by WAYNE
its true though just because you waqnt to hear good feedback , as cf say you wont always get it , this forum is for discussion not a confidece booster ,to just agree , although most people will be nice and not say what they really think , personally i dont like your tanks they lack structure and features , look at telboys tanks they look natural ,hes the only one i know who can make plastic plants look good , yours look slaped together , but thats just my opinion , and my comment about having for only 3-6 months well its only a temporary structure , you can pack it away when ever you wish , nothings cast in stone so to speak ,

09:05 by tracyanne
shut wayne yeah like u what ya got 2 6ft marine tanks put together like an L SHAPE

why you getting so defensive???
when you say you rescued the peruno cat , was it like SAS hostage rescuing mission and by the way im not trying to get on your back , just hoping you take your time in stocking it as we dont want to hear about more dead fish ie(cichlid and marine fish)one fish of that should be plenty for that pond , and maybe add a few smaller but you dont want a fish kill, and how long was it running before you added the 30" fish ? what did you do to prepare the filters , how often you feeding

23:16 by sonia
so how comes tracyanne complained to webmaster about this thread? tracyanne seems to want to dictate what people can cant cant say? Wayne is spot on Tracyanne and what was the rescue mission?

why all the personal attacks? how does Wayne "hang about for freebies" 2 lots of 6-fpot maroine tanks sounds quite impressive to me Traceyanne, much more than a big bit of plastic filled with water and ridiculously big fish.
21-07-2007
23:38 by sonia
sorry 2 lots of 6-foot marine tanks i think thats what you said.
