17-07-2007 12:10 by PaddyD	They are commonly though of as not sexable except by venting. I suppose body shape and size might be used as a guide, but is probably not reliable.

17-07-2007 13:21 by PaddyD	Although finnage is normally used for several cichlids I have never heard of it being used for uaru. Nor have I heard or seen any colour variation. But it is often a sign of a female in general (rounded fins) especially if combined with a more rounded body when settled down. They are lovely fish.
