hey people....anyone got any tips on catching mouthbrooders, i have two auratus holding eggs, i spotted them both yesterday and think the eggs are only a day old, 2 at the most! the fry have no chance of surviving in the main tank and because i have a fry tank it would make sense to try and get some youngs ones out of them, basically all i want to know is, when is the best time to net the females and whats the best way of going about it? i want to keep it as stress free as possible to minimise the chances of her eating them, the tank is also full of rock may i add |

with mouth brooders you need to let nature takes it cause trying to force things is just plain cruel thats the issue i understood most people to understand with mouthbrooders |

If you can sepearte her great, but otherwise some fry may well survive they are pretty fast and often survive in display tanks. |
