hi
can you drill double thickness glass tank bottoms please?as my tank is 2 lots of 12mm glass on base!
if you can do you just drill as you would single thickness please?

i would advise against drilling the bottom as 9/10 times it will be toughened glass and will probably crack , drillthe side and use a wier

it is very unlikely that any fish tank will be made with toughened glass, as it breaks into thousand of little pieces when stressed. the base may be laminated like a car front windscreen in which case drilling is not such a good idea, if it is simply two sheets of glass then i would advise against drilling as it is more likely to jam. drill the smallest end of your tank so if it is damaged it will be the simplest to repair...good luck
