lovely tank and very clean, but a bit like keeping a three dogs of an agressive disposition in a bare room sooner or later they will become psychotic and tear lumps out of each other, give them gravel and dither fish you cant by pass 20000 years of gravel digging instict just cos it will mess your tank up even oscars have needs |

don't see a problem with no sand, its not as if the guy is lazy, i have seen his other set-ups on here. I am sure the Oscar's will cope without sand and are probably being kept a lot better than the VAST majority of Oscar's kept in home aqaurium. |

big cats, I will watch them carefully - at present they seem really happy and adore swimming in and through the bubble wall (oscar jacuzzi).
Personally I think that the benfits of a much higher cleaning regime - as all the 'poo' is cleaned away daily as it is visible - compared to the amount of fish waste that gets hidden in gravel - with resultant delcine in water quality - the benefits far outweigh the need to dig around in gravel. Ask any discus purists.
I will though be keeping a close eye on them. |

tony, they look very nice indeed. i assume they are more of an albino oscar with very red markings? ive not seen any oscars like them. they are one of my all time favorites |

not disputing that these oscars are well and fit but oscars dig, its just that simple, they look like albino reds rather than reds,if they are over seven inch then lift the temp to 83 f do 10% water changes four days in a row then a 20% with stone cold water watch them pair up, but they will need flat stones to pitch themselves from magic fun but do ensure no bullying ensues, you will never keep that many oscars in a tank under 400 galllons so getting a pair now is a good thing |

ive had 7 oscars in a 300 gallon tank for 3 years, no issues yet. |

400Gs holy smacks!
you are talking
30inches wide by 3inches deep by
us Gallons 9foot long
imp gallon 10.5 feet
or a 2 foot heigh x 2 wide by
US gallons 14 foot long
imp gallon 16 foot lokg
you sure 4 Oscars would really need this type of tank?
