Has anyone got any ideas of the best way to move my fish to my new house. They are currently in a 260 Jewel, moving to a 440 Rena. I can give a few days for the water to settle before I need to move the fish but they are rather large and I think they may get quite stressed when moved. Can anyone please tell me the best method to reduce the ammount of stress caused. Thank you for your help.

Here is how I would do it.
Get some cotainers to transfer half of the water from the 260 to the 440. Use some of the media from the filter and put it in the new one. You don't say what, or how many, the fish are, persumably they are tropical,I would then move one or two of them to the new tank as the filter wil need them to cycle it. Have some whitespot treatment to hand as the stress may cause them to get this. Feed them small amounts and keep a close eye on them.
No doubt others will have their own way of doing it. Good luck!

if it were me,id set up new tank where its gonna stay[without water],then id somehow transport as much of the OLD water from established tank as i could [aiming to get 50%-75% full of old water],on the last trip id bag up/bucket fish + exsisting filter, quickly install filter into new tank, then acclimatise fish, add fish,+ hope ya get no losses, after a day or two id do a 20% water change, then a day or two later id do a 10% water change, after that things should be ok!good luck amigo...

What fish do you have?
If it's cichlids, probably.
If it's tetras, no chance.

So I should set the tank up, using some old water, take one of the filters, I have two and leave for a few weeks to mature, then add all fish together. If I was to use water treatment like Seachem Prime, could I introduce them after a few days.

If you use as much of the 'old' water as you can and use the same filters theres no reason you can't put the fish in straight away.
