Preparing plants or tropical tanks... |

Your opinions if I may...
I have awfu ltrouble keeping plants in my main aquarium as my Geophagus Braziliensis likes to dig. Until recently I think I've been spending a small fortune keeping the tank looking green by replacing plants.
I have an outdoor pond with a really nice carpet like plant that grows on its banks which I wondered if I could transplant.
I'm sure it would grow just as well in the tank as I've tried it in a bucket of water inside and it flourishes.
The question is this, if I could/should move some of this plant indoors what is the best way to prepare it to remove any outdoor parasites that could damage my fish..
Your thoughts welcome either way!

hello mate, when ever ive done this sort of thing i simply put the plants into a bucket over night, then change the water also i grab the plants + plonk em up n down a few times in the bucket of water,do this a few times ie x3 days always works for me...but then i think you'll be lucky to keep any plants other than plastic alive with geos!good luck anyway! |
