just found a website stating that , Adding sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). One teaspoon of baking soda added to 50 liters of water can raise the kH of the water by approx 4 OdH without a major affect on pH. is it safe to use with Ro water |

master popester,this technique is used a lot by reefers/marine keepers,a lot of shop bought remedies are just bicarb in a posh bottle |

well Telboy when i bought my fish i was dold a powder by Dennerle a small tub for £6 yesterday i looked for another tub and noticed larger tub for £10.99 that did 1500 litres and another tub by the same makers for 11.99 this last tub treats 5000 litres!!!
asked the staff whats the difference and they said its just a new name??? why i ask myself are things not simple 
one was Dennerle Osmose Plus Gh-pulver and new one is dennerle osmose ReMineral+ |

Hi robert, You can use it but it does raise the PH slightly but only short term, I use it my self sometimes and it does no harm, stewart |

i use bicarbe in my tanks to raise ph/kh and i also use epsom salts to raise gh this for rift lake tanks with great succsess |
