Do you think that gold fish prizes on fair grounds should be banned...?
If so vote here for that ban.

If it wasnt for a gold fish at a fair i would never have got into fish keeping.
I told my wife i needed a 300 litre tank to upgrade from the fish bowl that we bought with the gold fish from the fair that my daughter won. |

I dont think that some fg,s should be able to keep them. BUT a few Pets at Home stores have worse conditions and treatments so they should be sorted 2 |

Likewise, that's how I first started out as a junior fishkeeper.
The activity should be regulated, stall holders licensed (as for lfs)
Attracting kids to take live fish on a whim will always be controversal.
If anything children trying to compete for the prize of a goldfish should at least be in the company of an adult.
The humble goldfish is the most popular pet in Britain...FACT! if anything we should have a ban for the humble goldfish bowl.
I think PFK magazine had a feature on banning goldfish bowls and dyed fish a few years back. |
