I got a dehumidifier last night from Freecycle.
I put it in my office. I have at the moment 5 10 gallon tanks in that room.
The dehumidifier drew 5 pints of water in 24 hours.
Is this right? It seems a lot - could it be faulty - is it normal.
I suppose the water couldnt have come from anywhere else...
Im confused. |

not sure
if i have my dehumidifier on in my flat, it fills up in about 48 hrs and thats only 2 litres,
it cant be faulty, the water's obviously in the air if its going into the machine i imagine
Maybe the airs faulty
not sure mate, give it a few runs and then see how it goes
It seems a lot ALTHOUGH when i smashed my fish tank, my dehumidifier was taking 2 litres in about 3-4 hrs!!! |

they use a lot of eleccy though, or mine does, boy you should see the electic meter get excited, well saying that, just checked its 300W, i need to stop thinking about that now (he adds up the heaters and lights from his tanks), STOP THINKING ABOUT IT FRY LOVER |

the fish shed uses about £2.50 a day
thats the main air pump(250lt a min)
3 smaller pumps
3 external filters
3 internal filters
3 extra tank heaters(discus)
lights
radio(when i am in there)
so 2.50 a day is not to bad |
