I read on the net somewhere that using a blude shade light will make my aquarium look a lot nicer. It said that it really enhances the colour of the discus. To be honest I did not really believe it. Has anyone ever tried using different colour lighting? |

well i use a blue moon for evening viewing and it does show off the blue pardt of my Discus as it does the cardinals/neons
could it be that discus like subdude lighting in their natrual enviroment so are more relaxed/happy? |

Different bulbs show different colours and this is not a new thing it happens with all fish , just look on the side of the bulb case when you buy a new one and it will show you what colours will be enhanced the most, but if you keep discus in a show tank in your front room and have a darker one at the back and a full spectrum at the front and they have the choice of what they like |
