well, 100% of the time if im not mistaken, if you breed a albino bristlenose with a brown bristlenose, youll get a full broad of brown bristlenose, so if they breed along them same lines, id say normal brown fry, but if the vieltail is also a brown one and has stronger genes then i wudnt be surprised if you do get a 50/50 broad |

just to add to the debate, I bred albino with brown and Woz is right, they produced brown offspring ( with interesting body markings ) BUT when the offspring paired up and bred they produced a mix of browns and albinos. |

you've got me wondering now what would happen if the 2nd generation paired up what the outcome would be - think I'll give it a try. |

hmmmmmm, interesting, so how longs it taking you to get them to a breeding size from fry? |

I don't know Woz, I've had them breeding for a few of years now but never taken that much notice to be honest. They're in tanks with other species, when they breed I just split the young between my tanks or take them to my LFS in exchange for dry goods. I've been looking for a new project so think I'll devote some tank space to this - it could be interesting. They are fascinating little fish aren't they...... |

you asking me for pics tasha? 'fraid not, I'm a fully paid up technophobe, besides, my fish room is so small, last time I tried all I got was reflections off the tanks!!! |

they gota admit i like them , cause no harm and hold there own in most tanks you put them in, ive got a 15-20 of them in my malawi tank and they dont get any hassle, theyve always been a fish i hope would breed but no luck as yet, there not breeding size at the moment |
