x2 Blue Acara, had them for a only a week, came with my latest Rio 300! They laid eggs for the previous owner but he said the ate the eggs, they looking like a right pair now, lots of shimmying and always together, previous owner had a very busy tank and not a great lay out, so i am hoping with only bottom dwelling fish and lots of pots and wood, these Acara will successfully breed.
Trouble is, they in a Rio 300, which is a good size for them, but, i have my x4 young Senegal Bichir and x2 Reed Rish in there and so far, the Acara are being a bit bossy, so i need to keep an eye on this.
Glass needs cleaning and also has a few scratches which doesnt help picture quality.
Both Acara's are about 5" |

woke up to hundreds of eggs being guarded by both Blue Acara's on Monday morning, so hoping for them to hatch by Thursday morning. Am thinking i'll wait until the fry are free swimming then move them to a growing-on tank.
I think i'll also take the Blue Acara out and set them up in their own 48x12x15 as they are hassling my Reed Fish and Bichir's, not suprisingly (Breeding Cichlids!!!!)
