the fish in question came in a shipment from madagascar
we are 99% sure they are ptychochromis mananjeba
the females are a lot smaller than the males are 75% black
the pics we have taken dont show them off.
they look like spilurum but are not.
i know its very hard to tell what they are by rubbish photo's
i will try to catch a female and put its pic on here
they are in a mixed tank at the min but are not fighting.
does any one know of anyone who knows about madagascan cichlids?
thanks mark

I would strongly suggest you try and set up a breeding program all Madagascan cichlids and fish for that matter should be considered critically endangered there are many public aquaria breeding madagascan cichlis as they fear the wild populations could soon become extinct.

I would consider such fish extremely valuable and as such they should be priced to attract the knowledgable fish keeper therefore I would suggest a very high price as the true collector and breeder will pay virtually no matter what to keep a group of these fish for breeding purposes.
