Has anybody seen any shops that are selling young Hemibagrus wyckii under 4-5" and under £30 thanks!

right bruce, im not 100% certain it was that species but if it was, it was a about 6-7weeks since ive been there....i think they have there stock on the net if you want to check have you tried wharf? |

birleys had a baby redtail last time i went for sure......my dad was going to buy it until he realised it the same fish as whats in viscum...which is about 3ft long |

Best bet would be to get a shop to order you one most shops will not routinely stock them as there is a very small market for them make sure you plan for a tank to house this 2 foot monster in solitary they will not tolerate any tank mates and get worse with age.
They are reknowned as being the most aggressive freshwater fish an adult will happily try and remove your fingers!
The Asian Red Tailed Cat not to be confused with the Amazon red tailed cat gets slightly larger than a wyckii and has a similar temperament. The latin name of the asian redtail is hemibagrus wykioides the similarity in name will give you a clue to how similar the fish is. |

Surely that should have been gathered been research, which every responsible fis keeper would do before trying to buy one.
Atleast it's been decided against before it was bought. |
