Big cats it is not a tigrinus and jake thefish is for sale on the peru list of fishes i get every month,it is £875 plus the freight plus taxes and the shop will put on a grand so it would cost about £2000 in total. You can buy a house in peru for that they must think we are total idiots over here. |

ed, obviously i know its not a tigrinus, i did say that didnt i? ,but the question is , what is it, cos on first glance it looks like a juruense but if you look close, it isnt, the striping is wrong. any chance of a bigger pic? and in answer to fry lover. yes there are people on this forum who keep big catfish ,and you wouldnt call me an idiot to my face ,so try not to show your utter lack of manners and not do so over a forum, i have kept fish for many years and reserve the right to keep what i want when i want, most of the fish kept in this country are kept in less than perfect conditions and i am aware of the requirements of my three red tails two tiger shovelnoses (1 tigrinun,1 fasciatum) and my silver aro oh and not forgeting my 6 oscars two butti's and 9 severums, if you want to keep rays i do not judge , how many fishkeepers give discus what they deserve ? this forum is full of people slagging of fellow fishkeepers if you dont have something helpful to say then say nothing |

why you getting all worked up big cats, i put this at the end of my comment above as its tounge in cheek
If you want to get the hump over it, so be it, but i certainly wasnt personally calling anyone an idiot
I think what's happened here Big Cats, is that you've taken it too seriously.
I am more than happy to discus this if you want, you can PM me if you like. |

Ok, people who keep big cat fish are usually not idiots (there would be the obvious exception) of course.
It was a joke, i retract it!!!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=488131&in_page_id=1770
But apparently the fish is worth "only" 30k

sorry guys had a bad day didnt read the thread through ,if thats a juruense why the massive price tag? |
28-10-2007 17:10 by Ed
|
Thats the price on the listing big cats,i dont know that much about catfish but it does seem a bit steep. |
28-10-2007 17:12 by Ed
|
Does it make any difference if the cat is albino ,i meen pricewise. |
28-10-2007 19:40 by big cats
|
it would because as far as i know they are all wild caught ,the chance of catching a wild albino is so tiny , hobby horse poo springs to mind???
juruense just arn't that expensive normally but unusual colouring can make a difference but not that big a difference?? |
