There is so much of it over here as well, and its all around us.
My security team arrested a smack head woman yesterday and she was in with her 2 year old daughter. She didn't bother once about her little one until I told her I was calling the old bill and then she was more concerned abot social services and the factb that if she was taken off her, she would lose out on the cash from her child support money!!
I could have strangled her, took all my time to wind my neck in and maintain my self control.
The woman was definately a glue sniffer and the thing that really hit my heart strings and would me up was the fact that the little one has an aweful cough, molre than likely from living in a house full of glue fumes.
You cannot chose your parents!!
What chance has she got in a life like that? |

That was a little deep reading it back through, but really was upsettin |
19-11-2007 00:50 by tasha
|
i think it better for her to be out of the enviroment of drugs and to be put in a stable home hopefully social services will do there best |

these glue sniffers are very selfish Nick, like most junkies, it's all about THEM
"all about ME" thats what they think 24/7
Where's my next hit coming from? Thats what its about for them, they dont understand that its normal in life to deal with cr*p, just cause they had cr*p, dont mean they can just bail out 24/7
it costs the rest of us when they do this
|

Whilst risking someone accusing me of being a sheep here, but I totally agree!
I watched her being escorted from the store front doors right through to the back search room which is a good 200 meters away on a busy busy saturday and the little one was about thirty yards behind her trying to keep up. Didn't give a flying 'cluck' (first time I have ever swore, so very sorry webbie) which just showed me it was all about her.
Didn't desreve a little angel like she had, worst kind of people and it really gets my goat.
You are right, it does cost the rest of us, but not as much as its going to cost the daughter, what chance in life she got?
Very sad

The lefties may come down on us here, but i am speaking "generally", i know here are excpetions, some junkies are less selfish than others |

Some people should not have kids, they don't deserve them.
There are too many 'do gooders' in this world that stand up for these low lifes quoting 'human rights', what about the rights of the children?
Another thing that bugs me is there are genuine people out there that would give a loving, safe and stable home to an adopted child, but, because they are over weight or considered too old, are denied that chance. When someone decides to have a child, are they weighed or asked their age? What difference does it make??
This world has gone mad!! |
19-11-2007 13:08 by Jessica
|
You can't be overweight to adopt a child?
If thats true, people need to wake UP!
There as SO many children needing homes, who cares if they're foster parents are abit tubby...I wouldn't, I'd be glad to have a loving home..
Yet these 13 year olds that are having kids are aloud to keep their children and spounge off society and THEIR parents to pay for their lack of knowledge to use condoms? They're aloud to keep them, leaving theyre parents most responsible?
Sorry but something needs sorting. |

As for the bulgarian children, yeah I went to sunny beach on holiday and at night the streets are LITTERED with children as young as three, and women with children younger. The children who are old enough are carrying puppies around or playing violins to beg for money. All night EVERY night. One women we spoke to, worked so hard, at least 12 hours a day, on those pay phones thingy, and she was lovely and happy 'cause she was earning 6£ a week I think it was. It was definately less than a tenner. What we can earn in an hour they earn in a week. How sad. |

A note (long) on modern society. (part 1)
In reply to Jessica, I work as a gardener for a local authority on a park which is on the route to a couple of secondary schools, a few of the female students used to come into the park and sneak a crafty fag on the way to school. One day one of them asked me for a fag, I used to smoke, I refused as I always have done, she then offered me "anything" inside my shed for a fag, I refused. Two years later this same girl tells me she is 14 and her fiance has told her she can have a baby when she's 16.
She is now 15 and the proud mother of an almost year old baby, during her pregnancy (aged 14) her father was in the pub proudly showing off the scan of her child.
I leave any comments to you. |

Modern society part 2
To "help?" people we are somtimes asked to take people from the local young offenders centre as helpers.
I currently have a 20 year old "youth"? with me who cannot read, he effectively gave up school aged 10 and was compltely expelled at 13. He cannot see the pint of learning especially from books, (is there another way). He was sentenced to three years but because he's behaved himself can be released after 1 year on tag. According to him this is a right, as are his weekly licence to work with me, his external visits to see his girlfriend and 1 of his offspring, he will not accept that these releases are a privelage and the only "rights" any prisoner has are to be fed, watered, given a bed and and medical treatment if necessary.
Its a sad old world, or is it just this country, where those locked up appear to have more rights than those of us working our socks off. |

Dave, anything positive about drug users?
By that i mean the harder drugs, not tobacco and the like.
|

i say give them as much as they want in one go |
19-11-2007 20:03 by dave the wath

I am a firm believer in severe punishments, the drug suppliers should be executed, no matter where they are in the chain.
We sometimes get drug users on the parks,as does every local authority, I and my colleagues regularly find used needles hidden in places where we have to put our hands, also in places that small children play, we recently found 15 used needles affixed into a kiddies slide, anyone using the slide would have had the needles in their bodies, on several occaisions I/we have also found harder drug equipment.
As one of my colleagues said "hang the chuffing lot of 'em". I would not argue! |
19-11-2007 20:05 by dave the wath
|
Any drug, with the possible exception of tobacco should be completely banned and the users locked up in cold turkey for a long period of time. |
19-11-2007 20:13 by Nick G
|
I couldn't understand it earlier in the year when there was all the hype on the news about the drugs that were spiked in Scotland and they were killing all the druggies. Head line news.
Myself, I would find the person who spiked the drugs (hard) and give then a business grant (perhaps a tax break as well) and wish them well on their conquest to rid the country of the crack, smack and coke heads, not to mention all the heroin addicts.
The only action I would take against the people, would be to prosecute them if they fail in their quest or to Knoght them for servive to their country if they succeed.
Ahmen to that |

Drug users being killed? I'm sorry but come on. Thats TOO harsh.
Ever thought about the youngsters (and I mean youngsters here) that are talked into taking drugs at a young age by so called 'friends' or 'cousins' by the line it will take them higher than ever, and will get them away from all the pain and abusive they have suffered? Trusting them because these people have become their only refuge. It happens. Alot.
This is why most people start, not realising one hit can be the start of the end.
Children sexually, mentally and physically abused snorting/smoking you can only guess what to find happiness because they can't (or so they think at that stage) find it elsewhere? This happens alot, and I've witnessed it with loved ones. So please think about THAT before spouting how bad druggies are. And this is not meant at just one person.
Whilst I agree with the selfishness, anybody who actually has any knowledge (and may god help you if you actually claim too...for thats sad indeed) will realise selfishness of this sort is a result and side effect of severe mental and physical addiction to drugs.
NO I am NOT agreeing with children being in the middle of this, this is indeed where the selfishness should end.
I could go on forever but do me a favour and think about THAT. These poor little children you talk about their parents being 'junkies' and mistreating their children..have you ever stopped to think these parents were once those victims too as children.
Blame the suppliers of drugs, not the victims.
As for everyday ***..it is only HUMAN some people deal with it better than others. My mother has various mental health issues due to the *** 'we all have to deal with'. She is a victim.
Victims too are the druggies who fell in the web of trying to deal with the *** you can handle but they can't just to stop themselves doing even worse things, and I think you know what I mean.
Some people are awaiting placements in rehab or councelling so they can get off drugs..so should they be killed?!? |
19-11-2007 22:29 by Big Rob

tobacco is the hardest habit to kick officialy so wheres the rehab for that |

NHS, doctors, programmes ETC. I'm aware that tobacco is as addictive as heroine. More than aware. These are legal so no one calls smokers 'bag heads', 'smackheads' AND 'junkies' do they. Because smoking cigerettes is 'understood' and for the most part, accepted.
However, one ciggerate will not get you hooked. Unlike a few drugs I know off, one hit is all you need, a few and your a goner. |
19-11-2007 22:37 by Jessica
|
we have support groups.
You think morphine is any better treatment for addiction than patches?
Also, effects of smoking is more widely known and also printed on packets.
When that ten yr old looks to a gramm of cocaine to feel 'nice' again..theyre is no health warning on the packet.
On that needle past to them whilst drunk that 13 year old doesnt know they can catch aids and die for other reasons, not to mention how highly addictive it is, there is no warning on the side of it!
What more do you want from people supplying you with cancer sticks (yes, I smoke! So i understand the addiction!). But i don't feel sorry for myself as the warnings are there. |

what about the amount of smokers who go backto smoking. Wheres the difference? If you say tobacco is as addictive as heroine (which is true) your calling yourself on that one mate. The difference is the children who become addicts aren't given warnings (and so don't *usually* know) right infront of them on the packet. So those smokers who want to quit, do, and backslide are no more forgivable than OTHER (yes OTHER) DRUG addicts. The only reason its more acceptable is because its legal.
there was something on tele about a debate whether to legallize drugs so people get the right stuff etc and dont die from 'unpure' stuff. If that were so..in a few hundred years, we'd be looking at the same attitude you do about smoking. |
