A few months ago i had new people move in next door, the old guy who lived there (jeff) had died ,he loved my fish so when doing some building work on my living room we knocked through a hole into jeffs and put a 5ft tank in the wall between the two house's this was great jeff could feed the fish when i was away and could also get the same enjoyment as me,we both had hours of fun watching the fish ,it was also funny to see jeff's face when i looked through the tank, sometimes when i found it hard to resist i would give him a quick moon, any way he passed away in march, and i had a family from poland move in ,now my fish keep vanishing????you work out the rest.

I'd go round and have a word
Cheeky so and so's.

Lovely story btw. I want a 6 ft tank in my wall, but think it would cost too much

Years back I was looking after a red top malawi for someone and advised me his 4" fish would be ok for me to put my 1.5" female salvinis in with it. They killed the redtop within 10 mins

A Juwel Rio 300 fell of its stand in all its glory, about 250 litres of water and 40- odd fish went straight onto the lounge floor. It was my fault as the "stand" was a manky chest of drawers and i should have known better.

Used Protozin on fish i got from LFS, left them in a big bucket of it for a few hours and when i came back, about 80% of the fish (all tetra's) were dead from copper poisoning, i'd used too much protozin. About £30 of fish killed for no reason.

Dropped a DVD player in a tank, it sank straight to the bottom. And still works to this day! Basically i had some stuff sitting on the lid while i was having a sort out. The lids collapsed not suprisingly then all of a sudden there was a DVD player, about 6 books, and a load of bamk statements in my tank (Rio 300)

also when it flooded, not exactly my fault, but sens as my fish swam absolutely everywhere, one of my "kind" neighbours caught them all and put them in there green recycling bin which had just been cleaned out with disinfectant, well seens as the biggest koi where the easiest to spot and catch, all of them got put in the bin and died, all my small koi and goldfish survived because they got left alone. we ended up with about 20extra goldfish which werent ours because everyone kept catching them and chucking them in our pond thinking they were ours...still doesnt make up for 8 BIG dead koi worth in excess of £100 each

One day my young daughter was watching me move my giraffe cat fish breading pair from my main tank in the living room to a smaller breading tank in the utility room. Whilst I was out the room I heard a commotion coming from the living room. My daughter had pulled up a chair and tried to copy me getting the fish out and fallen in head first! Knowing that she was doing well at her swimming lessons I quickly took the breading pair to their breeding tank in the utility room and came back and pulled her out. We laugh about it now but it was ages before she went near the fish tank again.
