its for a Discus set up
i had been using ro water with added RO+ .......
and now i have reverted back to older methods and im trying 60 ro - 40 declorinated tapwater
the problem is i get the ph right and end up with a 0 reading on the KH( carbinated hardness)
i have uped the kh now to 2 and am getting a ph reading of 7.5 |

IMO you can sometimes worry about all the different parameters too much. If you get your ph right, the fish will probably be happy. Personally I never worry about the kh or ppm unless for my spawning pairs. You only really need to worry about ph/ammonia/nitrate etc. Let your fish tell you they are unhappy instead of a test kit. This is only my opinion of course and others may disagree |
