what fish can i put in my tank |

hello again
any help again
in my coldwater tank i have had two weeks now (this tank was used before)i had 4 3inch goldfish,2 moors,2 sunbkins,5 minnows,3 fancies
the tank is 4ft long 2.5 deep 2ft wide
now the goldfish was bullying the other fish so they have had to go to my sisters tank also the petshop lady told me to take the sunbkins out
my tank is looking empty now any advice what other fish i can put in tank i am new to this is any help would be greatful

tonk sort out ya filter,then run ya tank as it is for a few months till ya get used to keeping fish also read up a bit on various fish + how to look after em then make ya mind up what ya wanna do |

hi
thanks for the advice
i am going to keep it as a coldwater tank as i have become attached to my new pets so dont want to get rid of them
all doing well at the moment had someone out to take a look at my tank (someone who know a lot more than me about keeping fish)they say everything is fine

the tank was as i said used before me there is lots of sponges then wire like sponges yes for some reason a brick then two pumps (this is how the person before me had set it up)how would i change it would i take all of that out then buy a what type of filter would i need to buy
any help mate

dont know if you can see it clear but the filter syetem is in the tank but in its own compartments at the side

right,as youve said,it was used for marines before you got it? so to me it looks like a built in sump of some kind,if it is this is good!ya see all those empty chambers? well they should be at least half full of filter media ie alfagrog,ceramic,bio balls,sponges etc...if i were you id take everything out of the filter chamber + place in a couple of buckets of tank[very important]water,clean it all in the tank water so you dont loose any "good" bacteria,throw away the brick + anything that doesnt serve a purpose!get ya self a load of new media[as mentioned before]mix the old with newthis will help to "seed" ya new media,check on the pump for a label,on this will/should tell you the make + power of the pump,the pump should be in my humble opinion at least 3 times the total water volume ie ya tank holds 100 gallons ya pump should have a flow of 300 gallons, when youve done all this fill the chamber with media re-insert ya pump bobs ya uncle |
