Can anyone tell me about non-return valves for air lines, changes to my system is forcing me to get a air pump below the water line, so I will nee something to stop the syphoning of the tank water, do they actually work? what is the best kind? Thank you |

hello thomas, yes they do work but i found they restrict the airflow from the pump,i always just make a loop of air line + stick it to the back of the tank at the top |

they do work however make sure the arrow on them faces the right way or else its like blowing into a bottle ( it dont work!)

Does the loop thing actually work or are you taking the piss. I have known from people that their valves have failed so I think this loop thing COULD be a idea. Telboy can you help me out any more maybe two loops is better than one? |

The loop thing works, esp if you hand the loop high up to play safe, non return valves are too restrictive IME. |
