AS FAR AS I REMEMBER THEY DO AND THEY BREED LIKE CONVICTS ALWAYS WITH FRY AND AS FOR LOOKING AFTER EM THEY SHOULD UNLESS THEY GET EATEN BY OTHER FISH

unless you have an outlet for hundreds of babies you should not consider breeding them, if they have not bred for you yet and you like both of them then it may not be worth trying or you may end up with a dead one,do not let them breed in a tank with other fish or there will be trouble?? no specific temp or water conditions substrate spawning and a 100 gallon tank should do

butties are fairly easy to breed bethan,BUT,males are extremely nasty bu ggers,youll be lucky if the male doesnt kill the female before + after spawning,keep a very close eye on em,good luck
