I cleaned my tank out today and now my 12 month old Eheim Professional 2 2028 filter is making a sort of rattling noise. I have tried starting and stopping it, and pressing the large button on top, but it is still making a rattle. It is NOT exessively noisy but I would like it to be quiet?
The flow rate is normal [VERY FAST] any ideas please? |

air in the propeller? give it a good shake perhaps

at twelve months it may require a new impeller or axle,however they often get gunged up and it acts like a lubricant then when you clean it suddenly it becomes noisy, i find sand as a substrate shortens lifespan of any moving part, check it for wear and if needs be lube it with vaseline (eheim may even supply a lubricant?) |
