Hi all again, well i have set the new tank up it 's looking great! i will be getting some live plants tomorrow, but the tank has no air pump at the moment. i have always had air pumps in all of my goldfish tanks do i need one in the tropical tank? if so can i use an exsisting pump which is on my 3ft and has two outlets, could i have one outlet to the new tank and one to the goldfish tank??? they are quite close together. |

depends if youve got any surface aggitation already tina,i tend to use the filter to cause rippling on the water surface, airpumps are always noisy in my opinion |

thanks telboy that was quick!! the filter is moving the water you can see the surface moving so i guess that would be ok, oh i agree about the noise every room in the house has a different buzzing sound!!! lol but if they were all switched off i would miss them!.

im actually quite excited to finally be getting tropical fish, i have been threatening to do it for years, i hope it all goes ok its been fun doing the research and deciding what fish to get, there is so much choice even with a small tank like mine. |
