Could anyone help me? I have very recently had small sponge like things appear on rock in the tank. They have what I can only describe as one very small clear tube coming from each of the sponge like things.
Can anyone tell me what they are, if they are bad and if so how to get rid of them?
Thanks guys |

Are you running a freshwater trop, or a marine.
Sounds like you got your self some live rock there with a new growth of coral frag. |

Ok thats a bit better, seems that you actually have some Coralline algae growing.
Personally I wouldn't worry as they themselves are important in the lives of coral reefs. They also act as a food source for certain fish. |

If you think there is too much just give the heater and pumps a scrub down. |

ok thanks guys... If its nothing to worry about then I will leave alone... Is there an easy way of getting rid of it off rocks if it becomes over powering? and starts taking over everything?

It's not coralline algae, It's just a sponge.
Nothing to worry about |
