Hi they are from lake Tanganyika, and are a colour variation of Tropheus Moorii,as in lake Malawi colour variations of a species occur, there are not that many species but a lot of regional types. They should be kept in large shoals of one type to minimise aggression and to stop cross breeding. |

exactly yanton, im getting sick of fish getting named up wrong, theres just so many fish with the same comman names its confusing me, for example...how many fish do you see labelled as 'ice blues' ive seen atleast 3 different types, as for Pseudotropheus...ive seen them labelled as tropheus on several occasions.Anyway they are tanganyikan ray, i just cant find any info on them at all.....theyre quite comman fish if im not mistaken!?! |

Hi there try Tropheus morrii lupota |

Hi,just google Tropheus Moorii, there is plenty of info, ignore the third name in the description as it only refers to a geographical area of the lake, they are all Moorii, and the behaviour and feeding requirements are the same. They are not hard to find in the hobby, but some morphs cost a lot of money. |
