hi Tasha
just my opinion, but the problem with your desired list is where you gonna get them from? maybe i am just pessimistic, but you just buying fish that are half-dead with disease, or half-dead from dodgy practice in Asia. If you gonna buy all those fish from the LFS, get plenty of meds too!
Just my view, but i would try and get some home-bred ones and maybe get Cardinals instead of neons. Most tetra's apart from Neons i have found to be fine with good water quality if they are from the LFS. Its the stinky LFS live-bearers that concerns me!
Mollies are often disease waiting to happen, no matter how well kept, IN MY EXPERIENCE.
I like the idea of the scissor tails and such.
Come to London, i'll sell/give you some nice home-bred live-bearers with good colours

actually on reflection i only ever found two or three dead bodies in this tank in almost a year i think. Any fish that looks troubled (which is rare)gets removed and its ticket gets cancelled.
I took out lots of neons when some of their colour faed fearing Neon Tetra Disease, the others have been fine for a while and no other fish was effected.

tasha, your wish sounds like the old fasshioned community tanks that were very popular 30 - 40 years ago.
People who kept these type of tanks (myself included) rarely changed water, never tested slung in all sorts of food, and rarely had problems.
Like many things in todays life perhaps our "fussiness" is the problem.
That should cause a response> |

how about oddballs??? a knifefish(obviously a smaller species) would be cool to look at,or even a nice pair of larger cichlids, which you could breed and grow on the fry, that would be interesting
Just ideas based on what i have kept or wanted to keep |
