polyfilter , great stuff,i use it in my marine tanks, it changes colour depending on what is wrong in your tank. |

amazing stuff - it helps with new tank syndrome, absorbing nitrites and ammonia while the filtration catches up.
shame it is so pricey. |

i am thinking about introducing it in two of my tanks, these will be my 300 litre Malawi and Oddball set-up's.
I am not having problems i just like the qualities that Polyfilter has, and from what i am hearing from others, i "might" be able to do it from about £7.50 per tank per month, depending upon where i purchase it from.
Cheapest i seen is x10 sheets for £74 and free delivery.
I am definitly going to experiment with the stuff.

Like carbon but better however it shouldn't be necessary in a freshwater tank unless some very demanding species are kept everything should be managed sufficiently by the filters and partial water changes as well as any plant growth.
Marine is a different story although I would only consistently be using a phosphate remover as carbon and probably polyfilters will remove any coral food that are added to a system as well as trace elements which polyfilters manufactureres claim will not be removed but I'm not so sure. |
