I have had two black moors for over a year. In the last month one of the moor's eyes have been steadly growing. It seems like they are going to explode. Is there something I can do to counteract this? All the other fish in the tank seem healthy, including the other moor. |

Is the fish still feeding well, and does it have any other signs of illness like sticking out scales? |

He seems to still be eating well and doesn't seem ill otherwise. The eyes seem to be the only problem with him. His partner's eyes are half the size of his.

How big is the tank, and do you know the volume? Also, how many fish are in the tank, what kind and how big?
The huge eyes can be caused by stunted growth, which is caused by overcrowding or poor water quality. |

Hi charlie you say the eye looks like its about to explode! how old are the fish ? is it both eyes swelling about the same in size on this fish? could it be that the black moor is a telescope eyes black moore....as they have large eyes and it could be nothing to wory about.
on the other hand if its only the one eye then it could be a build up of fluids within the fish ( fancy goldfish eyes will swell as its soft tisue! i would dose with aquatic salt from the fish shop. then take it form there!
good luck .......eyes can be a problem in fancy goldfish!
