advice guys please , i need to store a load of live rock for a few weeks 5/6 . i have a spare tank 5 x 1 1/2 x 2 that i,m going to use i have 2 big twin outlet power heads to turn the water over 2 x 250 watt halid lights and 2 300 watt heaters,i will also put food of some sort in ti keep what ever is on it alive.
QUESTION , will it need to be filterd as well or will it do it its self.

in my limited knowledge of all things salty nigel you wouldnt need a filter if its just the live rock + the attached life forms, heat + water movement + maybe light depending on what life you have ie corals...so whats happening then? even more marine setups due on board?

A powerhead would do the job ,i had over 300 kilos in my garage and after i skimmed it off just left a powerhead in there and it worked fine.

It should be fine the only thing it is lacking in terms of a full set up would be a protein skimmer.

That is providing of course that it is cured live rock if it is uncured that is a totally different ball game.
