Sadly, I am closing down my Malawi community system so this auction is for an established community of quality UK bred Malawi cichlids, incorporating species of Mbuna, Aulonocara and Haplochromis. Almost all of the fish were purchased from one of the UK's finest breeders of this family of fish based in the North of England and have been brought into top breeding condition with a mixed diet and high water quality (regular water changes are a must for these fish). The fish are kept in water with a pH of between 7.5 - 8.0 and a temperature of around 78 degrees. Here are the specific fish included in this auction:
Aulonocara Stuartganti "Mdoka Ngara" (1 x Male) - approx 6"
Aulonocara OB (1 x Male) - approx 5"
Aulonacara Jacobfreibergi (1 x Male) - approx 5"
Protomelas Taeniolatus "Red Empress" (1 x Male) - approx 5"
Otopharynx Lithobates (Breeding pair - 1 x Male & 1 x Female) - approx 6"
Cynotilapia Afra Jalo Reef (Breeding pair - 1 x Male & 1 x Female) - approx 3"
Metriaclima Membe Deep (Breeding pair - 1 x Male & 1 x Female) - approx 3"
Labidochromis Caeruleus - Yellow Labs - (Breeding group - 1 male & 3 x Females) - approx 2-3"
Labidochromis Super Red Top Honghi (1 x Male & 2 x Females) - approx 2-3"
Pseudotropheus Ndumbi Red Top (1 x Female) - approx 2"
Maylandia Estherae "Red Zebra" (4 x Sex unknown) - approx 1-2"
Bristlenose Catfish (2 x males I think) - approx 4"
There are therefore at least 24 fish included in the auction and the quality of these fish can be seen even from my poorly taken photographs, however, viewing is welcome prior to the auction ending if required so please contact me to arrange this. Obviously this auction is collection only and the winning bidder will be requested to arrange collection of the fish within 24 hours of the auction ending as the system will need to be closed down. On collection of the fish bags will be provided but it might be an idea to bring along a couple of polystyrene boxes or buckets in which to transport the fish home safely.
Payment by cash on collection please.
Please also see my other two auctions for the Malawi limestone rock from the system along with the Malawi Arangonite sand which are also formed the substrate of the same community. If wanted the mature water from the system can also be taken as this will just be dispensed of on draining the tank.
