The tentacles readily retract if the animal is disturbed or feed. Actinia equina is uniform in colour, with no pattern on the disk, and can be red, pink, brown, green, yellow or orange in colour. Bright blue wart like spots, called acrorhagi, are often found round the inside of the top margin of the column.
keep more than one to a tank!! they will all find there own space
feed once a week on: mussel' shrimp or chopped fish or prawns.
