Description: Hello everyone, here I have for sale very young breeding pair of Red Melon discus. Both of them were originally bought from Essex Discus in Tilbury. They started showing signs of pairing up about 4 weeks ago and about a week ago they spawn in my community tank. I moved them to a separate tank and ON 09.05.2008 she laid eggs again, eggs WEre still on the cone next morning, so they are not egg eaters, moreover I keep big albino pleco in their tank and the fact that the eggs are still there means they are very protective.
I have no intension of breeding them, so that is the reason for sale.
She is about 3.5-4 inch, despite her size I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of eggs she laid (see picture and try to count them) He is about 5 inch in size and has very bright/strong red colouration. Both of them have a little bit of peppering on their foreheads.
All my fish are kept in tap water, pH 7.6 Feed on Tetra Prima, beefheart, flakes, frozen artemia, bloodworm, discus mix and wormed every month.

I would like £70 for them, only because of her size, in other case I would ask no less than £120 for them.
