Use for a maximum of 1 week then replace (to prevent any release of toxins)

Used for neutral to acid (soft) water
Serves to soften the water and lower the pH-value in freshwater tanks.
Do not use carbon filter material at the same time as this will remove the humic acid produced by the peat

A specially treated media, which makes the water more acidic and lowers the carbon hardness.
The peat filter is recommedable for soft water fishes in order to achieve a tropical aquatic environment.
Just like in the case of all other additives the changed water property has to be regularly monitored.
