It is with great reluctance that I have to sell my beautiful Black Ghost Knife fish. Please be wary of adverts for large fish as most men mistake six inches for something larger lol.
I have 9 BKG altogether, in varying length from about 6” to almost 12”, so you can take your pick. I am selling only one of these at the moment.
If you haven’t met one of these before, they are very interesting in that they can swim forwards, backwards and upside down and propel themselves with an undulating skirt. Almost blind, they use a mild electric current like a kind of radar to see.
This one approx 8” very healthy and feeding well. I feed my fish mainly mixed frozen food, flake and very occasionally live brine shrimp or bloodworm; there are never any complaints. These fish will eat from your hand, (depending what you are giving them) I usually feed them with a spoon to start and then throw the rest of the food in. Cucumber is a great treat for them (they love it). Although very friendly, smaller tank mates maybe mistaken for food, anything smaller than a Mollie will be at risk.
I keep these in a community tank with no special water conditions, with water changes every two weeks or so. They are quite hardy fish and intolerant of their own kind. I’m afraid it will be for collection only as I will not risk posting him.
