Electric Blue Lobster
The Electric Blue Lobster, cherax quadricarinatus
, is a unique addition to your aquarium because of its’ blue/green coloration! This lobster originates from Northern Queensland and the Northern Territory of Australia. The Electric Blue is best suited for the intermediate aquarist due to the fact that it is very aggressive. Since it is so aggressive it is neither inter-species compatible nor community aquarium safe. This lobster will grow to a length of 8 inches (20 cm) as an adult. You will want a 20 gallon tank to house your lobster, with a temperature range of 65-75º F. When it comes to feeding he is a hardy species since he is an opportunistic omnivore. In regards to sexing this species: the adult male has a distinctive red patch on his claws and the female does not display this marking.
these are stunning to watch and most easy to keep .they like hard water and dont need to be heated unless breeding them .
eat most anything .
they don`t like nitrates nitrite tho so need water changes often ,
all babys are now gone off first batch !! second batch ready .

oh these are great pets to start the kids to get intested in fish and haveing as a talking topic to there friends only need a small tank with a air filter no need to heat ,
