He is generally a very peaceful fish and gets on well with all his larger tank mates. These include a few large plecos, some adult hoplo catfish, and a few large weather loaches.
He's about 8" long and doesn't look as mean as the photos you often see of Polypterus but this could be becasue he's missing one eye (it softens out hi features a bit!)
