Tilapia Mossambics(Mozambique).We have for sale a large number of fingerlings and fish up to 25mm long,(larger fish are available).These fish are ideal for feeder fish for aquatic snakes/frogs,turtles and most aquatic lizards.The fish are feeding on food pellets,a wide range of vegetation including duck weed,chopped tomato& pepper plants and veg peelings.The buy it now price is for one fish only.Delivery can be arranged please contact me to discuss this.
Technical stuff.Tilapia mossambicus is an African native fresh water species.It has a strong hardy nature,and adaptability to a wide range of conditions.
These fish will tolerate a wide range of water temperatures from 10c to38c for short periods of time.The ideal range is 27c to 30c to promote good growth and breeding if desired.A temperature of below 20c will slow growth and activity.Not ideal but the fish will survive with lower growth rates.These fish are omnivorous eating detrital material,invertebrates small fish macroalgae and rooted plants.In practice i will feed entire tomatoe or pepper plants(when finished cropping) veg peallings duck weed and fish pellets to supplement.
Fish are £1 each although this depends on the amount ordered.
