(Salt Water Tester for Marine Fishkeeping)
One of the easiest testers to use, very reliable and makes no mess whatsoever.
The Marinomat checks the density of sea water in the range of 1.000-1.035 g/cm3. It has it's own temperature compensation. This means that the temperature is correctly indicated for all water temperatures between 10 and 30C.
This unit is unique in the fact that it's gauge and needle are separate, which gives a more accurate reading.
To use:
•Turn the valve open to fill and empty the chamber.
•Insert the rubber tube in the water to be tested.
•Fill the chamber completely so that the scale floats free and is fully immersed.
•Tap the back of the chamber to remove any air bubbles.
•The needle will indicate the density.
•After use clean with warm water.
This unit normally retails at £34.95. It is in excellent condition and should last indefinitely if looked after.
