Complete Unused Aquarium Setup 33x24x18 inch c/w 30x24x18 inch Sump + All Equipment

Description: Hello and thanks for taking a look at my Ad.

I'm selling a complete project aquarium setup that I never had time to even start - after buying absolutely everything for it to do a DIY build for myself. It can be used for either Marine or Freshwater - as this system hasn't yet been used. I filled it overnight with dechlorinated freshwater to the weir 'brim' to test the seals and then drained and dried it again next day.

I was hoping to actually find time to build my project but I've been so busy with other things that I've just not got around to it. We're now moving house so it's time for the whole system to go to a new home where someone has the time to enjoy building it and use it as it should be used.

To start with - here are the dimensions of everything - then I'll go into all the details of everything else that's included with it...

Dimensions of "Stadia" - Wenge cabinet:

Length: 35"
Height: 29"
Depth: 19"

Dimensions of main display tank:

Length: 33"
Height: 24"
Depth: 18"

Dimensions of filtration sump:

Length: 30"
Height: 18"
Depth: 15"

Dimensions of lighting hood:

Length: 35"
Height: 9"
Depth: 19.5"

From the top down details:

Lighting Hood:

The lighting hood has a hinged lid access to maintain the lighting and stands proud of the front of the lighting hood by half an inch so you can easily lift it up. The hood is drilled with 50mm holes left and right rear corners for cable/accessories access at the rear of the hood. The lighting hood has a waterproof laminate seal to protect it from condensation damage inside the hood.

Main Display Tank:

The display tank is constructed from 10mm float glass.

Black 2 x hole glass weir to left rear corner, black vinyl backing film to rear panel, sliding condensation cover glass (x2) and clear silicone joints. The weir is also fitted with a removable filter comb to the top edge.

The weir holes are 55mm for a 1.5” outlet and 35mm for a 1” return.

Stadia - Wenge Display Cabinet:

The cabinet is flush fronted with 'press to open' double doors - giving access to the filtration sump.

I specified additional side supports to be built into the internals of the cabinet for added strength. The rear of the cabinet is drilled in the top left and right corners (50mm) for cable/accessory access.
The tank sits inside a 1" "bottom lip" so you don't see the bottom silicone seal along the front of the tank. The lighting hood also sits just below the condensation sliding covers so they're not on view from the front of the tank.

The cabinet is finished in a condensation sealed "Wenge" coloured grained laminate. The aquarium builder named the colour "Wenge" - I think of it more like a dark oak. I'd never heard of Wenge before I bought the tank - and haven't heard it since - but apparently it's a real colour!

The base of the cabinet has a 25mm polystyrene cushioning sheet.

The base of the cabinet is drilled to make way for the weir plumbing pipework into the sump section.

Filtration Sump:

Custom sized glass filtration sump with 4 x baffled compartments.

Additional Equipment:

Lighting:

2 x boxed untouched Arcadia "Ultra Seal" ACE2U5 T5 twin lighting controllers - to run 2 x bulbs (x4 in total) between 24 - 39 watts.

4 x Arcadia T5 22" Lighting Reflectors.

2 x Blue Actinic 24 watt 55cm T5 lighting tubes,

2 x Reef White 10K 24 watt 55cm T5 lighting tubes.

I've also included some tiny pozi galvanised screws to fix the reflectors to the lighting hood.

Heating:

3 x 200 watt Eheim Jager Model 3617 "Thermo Safety Control" heaters. These are the most accurate/reliable heaters available in my opinion.

Water Flow:

1 x Aquamedic Ocean Runner OR2500 main system pump - a seriously top quality unit!
1 x Maxi Jet Power MP1200 Power Head.

Airation:

1 x Rena 600 Twin Output Air Pump.

I was planning to build a Durso - so I've made sure there are enough parts included to create one in the weir.

I think that's just about everything!

The display cabinet, lighting hood, main display tank and filtration sump cost me £666 to have built. It was built for me by AML in Lancashire.

All the rest of the equipment mentioned above cost me just over £510 from "Fish Fur Feather" and "Homeleigh" Aquatics.

So, this is quite a setup - over £1000 worth of completely unused equipment and a fabulous Aquarium project.

As I said earlier - you can use it for any water type you like - Marine, Freshwater or Cold water. As this system hasn't yet been filled - you have a choice. No chemicals have been used in either of the tanks and no cleaning products have been used.

Please visit the eBay link for a further nine photos showing all the equipment and some close ups of the tanks.

I've started the eBay advert at £500 and have a "buy it now" for £700 - which is still a really good deal!

If you'd like any further information or additional photos of something I may have missed - then please contact me and I'll get it sorted for you.

The buyer must arrange collection for this setup from Standish in Lancashire. It can be collected most evenings or at the weekend on pre-arrangement. Please make sure you have adequate room for transporting these items and can protect them from damage in transit.

Cheers,
Paul
