Unique custom aquarium / fish tank / terrarium set up
This is a unique aquarium set up consisting of aquarium and custom made stand, cabinet, evaporation cover and LED light fitting.
The aquarium itself is constructed from 10mm (1cm) thick aquarium glass on the sides, with the base being made of two sheets of glass siliconed together to make an extra strong base totaling 15mm. The glass in generally good condition, although it does have some scratches and chips (the worst is shown in the pictures). The scratches do not detract from the overall look of the aquarium, and are barely noticeable when the aquarium is filled. The aquarium has a nylon bung siliconed (watertight) into a drilled hole at the top left rear, however this could be removed by the buyer for filtration purposes.
The outside dimensions of the aquarium glass are 44 x 36 x 22 inches, making a capacity of approximately 530L.
The stand is custom made from welded 40mm box section, capable of holding at least 4 times the current aquariums weight. On top of the stand, there is an additional aquarium base which holds a piece of 16mm thick marine ply to evenly support the base of the tank.
The cabinet is custom made from kitchen cupboard board, plinth and doors and is in a maple shaker style. The front and side has removable doors which are held on with snap catches and one side is clad with the cupboard board, additional cupboard board (and iron on edging) is also included if the buyer wishes to add cupboard board to the other two sides (for example if the aquarium is to be placed in a different orientation). The cabinet has been completed after the tank was emptied so has never been exposed to water, overall the cabinet is therefore in excellent condition and makes the aquarium look extremely good.

A custom polycarbonate evaporation cover is included (with cut outs for external filtration pipes)
A custom LED light unit, with LED strip lighting (controlled by two power supplys) affixed to polycarbonate is also included. the LED strips are fixed to the polycarbonate and also covered by clear tape to ensure all joints are waterproof. the LED's are high powered SMD 5050's and are warm white 7500K, so perfect for tropical fish opposed to marine / coral set ups, again this has been completed after the tank has been emptied and is therefore in excellent condition.
Overall this set up has been put together by myself to my own specifications, and is an excellent example of a large aquarium set up.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ... the glass itself weighs 130kg, and needs to be removed from the house via the rear patio doors and carried down a side alley as it simply will not fit through other doorways. The stand weighs 85 kg and again needs to be removed the same way. Please bear in mind that you will need 3 or 4 strong people to move this, due to weight and the shear size of the aquarium, and no help is available from myself. You will also need a large van to move this set up or multiple trips in a small van.
