On occasion, or by special order, you can get marine algae from an aquatic store- average cost is £40 for a small sample, due to the expense of shipping.
I have a number of mixed varieties of marine algae grown on from 'raw' live rock bought specifically some years ago- probably a mixture of 3-4 different species. There's no 'nuisance' algae species here; these all grow very well in my live rock/invert tanks, (mainly due to me not trimming them back because of illness) but I'm closing down 3 of my 5 marine tanks (I'm a bit terminally ill, so making things easier for my wife to handle)...
I'm converting my 5'x2' tank to freshwater (it'll be a discus and planted Amazon setup), selling or swapping my two matching Fluval Osaka 260ltr tanks and my Red Sea Max 130 to get a corner tank for my marines, plus I have a small live rock and Zoas tank in the kitchen, already set up.
I'm happy to swap at least a decent handful of my marine algae for colourful zoanthid colonies, frags, why, choose your own, collection only from Cheddar in sunny Somerset!
Thank you for looking!
