Our fish are raised and thrive in dechlorinated tapwater so very easy to keep whatever your ph is and no need for fancy water softeners or ro water ! Perfect for the first time discus keeper as well as the seasoned.
Why choose our fish ?
Because over the course of many years they have been acclimatised to tap water. As a result our European bred discus fish differ markedly from other discus fish. Asian captive-bred fish generally need a lot more water changes as they are raised without filters and therefore need more water to be changed more frequently to optimise their wellbeing. We grow our Discus from very small to over 6" with only 2x 40% water changes a week. Once they are approaching maximum size only 1x 30% water change a week is needed.
Feeding is easy, our fish will eat anything you want them to eat. We feed our own meat/fish frozen mix that we prepare ourselves, but you can feed whatever you choose as long as it has a high protein content. In the past we have grown small fish up to adults on purely granular and freeze dried foods.
We are a modest size stockist of discus that likes to concentrate on high quality rather than quantity. Bred by ourselves and our European breeders and grown out by us to achieve perfect size and shape as they should be. Our fish also do not "pepper" like some do, we keep our fish in tanks with a solid black background to prove this. We have been avid discus keepers and breeders for the past 30 years and any advice is freely given.
