You will receive a Grindal worm starter culture and instructions on cultivating and harvesting the worms using a method derived through trial and error which I have not seen online.
Once you have sufficient numbers, you will be able to harvest your Grindal worms literally in seconds, without getting soil or ReadyBrek (used as worm food) in your tank or having to directly handle the worms (compare this with conventional methods).
Conventional methods use a piece of glass or transparent plastic to harvest the Grindal worms. The glass is placed on the worm food and then the next day the glass is removed with any worms in it and rinced in your fish tank. As you can imagine worm food also gets in and pollutes your tank and leaves a film on the surface of the tank water. The method I use gives just the worms with no soil, food or having to pick out worms.
Peat soil tends to be used in many other Grindal worm cultivation methods as a medium. This is dirty, can pollute your fish tank, and goes bad so needs to be restarted (I have never ever had to restart my Grindal worm cultures after using this method, of course your luck may vary and it's always wise to have a couple of cultures running in parallel).
Your Grindal worms will be posted by first class post in an airtight, resealable bag with a sprinkling of water so they have lots of humid air. Please make sure an A4 mailing bag fits through your letterbox.
