Description:
I have for sale my beloved fish as I am refurbishing my tank and I think the fish deserve bigger homes as well. The sale consists of 2 x Oscar Pair, 4 x Rainbow Fish and 1 x Red Tail Shark.
Fish are currently housed in a 300litre tank with a rena xp4 (best rena filter) because of the large waste they produce. Weekly partial water changes is a must to keep these fish in a healthy condition.
Oscar Fish - £60 pair (Would be min £80 pair in shop)
Lutino Red (hard to find) and Albino, 11-12 inches long:
I have owned these 2 since they were little juveniles about 3 years ago. They gradually became a pair (proven videos on youtube) and now live together very happily. They have not yet raised any fry or even laid eggs which I found an advantage for me as it allowed me to have a compatible pair of Oscars without the fuss of raising fry. A bargain at £50 for both (will not sell separately) as it would be rare to find a pair like this in such healthy conditions. They have had not one disease in their lifetime. They should be housed in a tank 4ft (if alone) or bigger. They are currently feeding on mealworms (favourite), bloodworm cubes and Cichlid Sticks. May be possible to mix with non-territorial fish such as a small shoal. Have never fed them live food so see other fish as more as a territorial threat than food.
It must be stressed fish will not be sold unless suitable conditions are in order. Will search for display tank if conditions never met.
Sad to see them go.
Red Tail Shark - £25
This is an adult Red tail shark that is approximately 6 inches long (shouldn’t get any bigger). I believe is a female as it has a rounded silver stomach but not sure. I have had this fish since it was a juvenile and is approx 3 years old. Very territorial fish and will attempt to kill anything that it considers to be a threat. Best housed in a more aggressive fish tank or one with a lot of space. Very healthy fish with jet black body and solid red tail. Feeds mainly on the left overs of other fish.
Rainbow Fish - £10 for 4
This is a small shoal of rainbow fish (2 x orange, 1 x blue and 1 x silver) approx 4-5 months old. Very small still only 2-3 inches long. Very active and healthy fish should reach around 6-7 inches when adults in a years time. Potential pairing of two of the fish as some signs of display has been shown from an orange male and blue female. Feeds on almost anything that can fit in their mouth, not picky eaters.
