270 litre marine/tropical aquarium with halide light £150 Norwich Norfolk

Description: For sale: Aqua Medic Percula 90 fish tank, stand, and 2x150W 10,000k 1x9W actinic halide light. This tank retails at £700+ new and has a built-in sump at the back for filtration; the light unit cost £300 new. A great piece of kit made for marine but can do tropical or coldwater too, in a grey finish. As is evident from some of the pictures there are a few marks around the edges and some have wear and tear, but these can be easily cleaned up with a little bit of TLC.

The lighting unit is a little old, and if you're going to keep corals the bulbs may need to be replaced (£10 each on ebay) but it still works fine and gives a huge 2x150W output, more than enough for any kind of coral growth (softies, LPS, SPS) for the tank's 60cm depth. It also has a low-output 9w blue actinic on a separate switch which gives the tank a really nice marine white-blue hue.

The stand has a little water damage but everything's holding in well; it holds water, is stable, etc, evidence of Aqua Medic's exceptional build quality. This tank is perfect for a beginner marine or tropical setup, the water volume (270 Litres/70 US gallons/ around 60 UK gallons) is high enough to be stable without being ridiculously expensive to service. The tank's 3 foot length and 2 foot depth is enough to give great swimming room for any type of tropical fish and most sub-20cm/8 inch marine species.

All this tank needs to be ready is a filter (I can supply a new All Pond Solutions 1000EF+ 400-litre rated canister filter for an extra cost, feel free to ask) and water for a tropical setup; for marine, a filter/skimmer, live rock and salt are the only things needed. I can supply up to 50kg dead indonesian live rock ready for seeding for an extra cost; again, feel free to ask.

This tank is moderately heavy, and will need a sizeable vehicle for pickup. Selling at a low price for a quick sale and also because of wear and tear.

Near Norwich, Norfolk. Open to offers.
