Red Sea Max 130d
I have had this tank for about the past 4 years and up until February it was my display tank.
It’s heavily modified but is a little ratty in places and could do with a better clean up than I have the time to give it .
The mods
All T5’s have been removed and replaced with aqua ray beams (4) . These give a good punchy light and nice blues. They cost me quite a lot at the time .
The stock skimmer has been removed and there is now an intank media basket set. Also included is a tunze 9002 skimmer . This has the modified airline and also the intank skimmer cup to fit in the rear. The pump in the skimmer is slightly temperamental and could do with a good clean and lube .
The no so cool bits
There is still some coralline on the glass - nothing a good vinegar soak won’t sort out .
There will probably be some small scratches on the glass - noting that I particularly noticed but just declaring them for honesty.
One of the return pumps can be a bit temperamental as well and sometimes needs a tap to get it going again after switching off .
The cabinet has a few marks here and there .
This would make a good QT tank or with a little TLC a great display tank .
I successfully kept sps in there with the lighting and only needed a doser for the KH .
